This educational program is dedicated to dignified and compassionate alternatives to current funeral practices. We offer seminars about natural death care, home and family-directed funerals, green (eco friendly) burials and the benefits of participating in personalized family-centered arrangements.
Final Passages offers a graceful and conscious approach to end-of-life that diminishes fears, opens the door for more family involvement, and lights the way for living each day in full presence. Our certification program “Honoring Life’s Final Passage” is designed to help individuals embrace death as a loving transition and natural part of the life cycle and learn guidance of others through their passages and wakes.
Jerrigrace Lyons, Founding Director of Final Passages, minister, death midwife and Reiki Master has pioneered a new field of “home funeral guidance.” In the past decade Jerrigrace has assisted hundreds of families through their home or family-directed funeral services. She was featured in Wall Street Journal, USA Today, LA Times, Mother Earth News and interviewed on CNN Headline News, Bay Area TV stations and now featured in a POV PBS documentary “ A Family Undertaking” aired nationally in 2004.
